The Stone County Medical Center Support Services Employee of the Month is Michael Pruitt. Michael is the SCMC Network Administrator and has been with SCMC for 6 ½ years. In addition to his duties in Information Systems, Michael serves as a member of the Reward and Recognition Team.
Michael works to maintain the computer equipment at Stone County Medical Center. He is responsible for functions necessary to maintain the computer network including backup and security. He troubleshoots and resolves problems for individual users.
"I enjoy my co-workers," said Michael when asked about his work at SCMC. "They are the best people around."
Michael was chosen as Employee of the Month by his fellow employees in Materials Management and Environmental Services because he demonstrates all our behavioral standards. Michael works to exceed his co-workers expectations in all tasks. He always checks in after solving a problem to ensure customer satisfaction. He is always willing to help and asks, "Is there anything more I can do for you? I have the time."
Michael and his wife, Heather, live in the Fifty Six area and are the parents of two children. Michael enjoys basketball, hunting, fishing, boating and camping.
