Marisa Rector, RN is the Stone County Medical Center June Nursing Employee of the Month. She has been an employee for six years and is a Charge Nurse at the hospital. Marisa previously worked in the Surgery Department.
Marisa is responsible for patient assessments, administering medications and providing direct patient care. Marisa works closely with physicians to ensure appropriate care and to assist in other areas as needed.
"I enjoy the family oriented atmosphere of SCMC," she said when asked what she likes about the hospital.
Co-workers in Patient Registration selected Marisa as the Employee of the Month. Her co-workers describe her as pleasant and helpful. Marisa continually impresses her co-workers by her ability to provide information before being asked. Employees know they can count on Marisa to follow up on all requests.
Marisa and her husband Timmy live in the Mountain View area. They are the parents of four children; Sydney, Katherine, Andrew and George. Marisa loves to read, cook and watch old movies.
