White River Health System (WRHS) serves North Central Arkansas; it is a growing community with increasing needs for healthcare providers. WRHS is composed of White River Medical Center (WRMC), Stone County Medical Center (SCMC), and rural clinics throughout the referral area. White River Health System serves a seven county region in North Central Arkansas with a population of approximately 100,000. White River Health System is committed to providing the advanced medical technology necessary to provide quality patient centered care such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy and the daVinci robotic surgical system. 

White River Medical Center (WRMC), located in Batesville, Arkansas, is a 199 bed regional referral center and the flagship facility of White River Health System.  Batesville is situated at the foothills of the Ozark Mountains on the banks of the White River.  Batesville is listed in "The 100 Best Small Towns in America" and has received awards that include Arkansas Volunteer Community of the Year. The Batesville community has a low crime rate and an excellent public school system. Batesville is home to nationally ranked Lyon College and the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. Batesville is an economically diverse community with major employers in education, manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare.  Area public schools consistently rank in the top 10% statewide on benchmark tests.  Batesville is 90 miles north of Little Rock, Arkansas and 120 miles west of Memphis, Tennessee. Stone County Medical Center (SCMC), located in Mountain View, Arkansas is a private not-for-profit regional healthcare provider. SCMC is a 25-bed critical access hospital serving Mountain View and the Stone County area, SCMC is an affiliate of White River Health System.  The hospital’s Medical Staff includes nine physicians representing five medical specialties. The Mountain View community is a great place for fishing, hunting, sightseeing, and camping. The Ozark National Forest and Blanchard Springs Caverns occupy approximately one-third of the county.
