Can I combine my family’s accounts and make one monthly payment? Yes, we will be happy to combine your accounts. Call the phone # listed on your statement to speak with a representative.

Why do I have so many bills from other providers when I receive services at the hospital? Depending on the services provided, you may receive separate bills from other healthcare professionals who provided services to you at White River Medical Center. Charges for anesthesiologists, radiologists, pathologists, emergency room physicians, surgeons, cardiologists and attending physicians are billed separately.

Why am I being charged for a private room difference? Most insurance companies will not pay for a private room unless it is medically necessary. In most cases the insurance company will consider the patient responsible for this difference.

Why do I have a balance on my bill if I have two insurances? Your secondary insurance may have a co-pay or deductible that must be met, or there may be services that your insurance does not cover. The Explanation of Benefits you receive from your insurance companies should explain the amounts that are designated as patient responsibility.

Why do I have a balance on my account for medication if I have Medicare and a secondary insurance? There are some medications that Medicare will not cover when received during an outpatient stay. If it is considered a non-covered medication by Medicare, your secondary insurance will most likely also consider these charges non-covered. These amounts are considered patient responsibility. www.arkmedicare.com

I have Medicaid. Why do I still owe a balance? There are several different types of programs through Arkansas Medicaid. These programs have certain limits and cost share amounts as determined by Medicaid. Balances for the Medicaid-assigned cost share amounts and for services that exceed the program limits are considered patient responsibility.
