Life Lights

Life Lights is an annual holiday fundraising campaign to benefit patient care at White River Health System facilities.  Your gift is a unique way to honor those who have touched your life – a nurse, doctor, teacher or an angel in disguise. Some honor their children, parents or grandparents, best friends or co-workers, and soldiers.

This year’s Life Lights contributions will be used to fund the Cribs for Kids Safe Sleep Hospital program. This program allows us to provide Halo® SleepSack® wearable blankets to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and Pack n Play® portable cribs to families in need. The generosity of our Life Light donors will ensure the continuation of the Cribs for Kids Hospital program for years to come!

Taylor McKeen Shelton

The program was established with an initial gift from The Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation. The Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation was established in loving memory of Taylor with a goal of increasing awareness of, and research into the cause of Sudden Unexpected Death in Childhood incidents. In addition to supporting the SUDC Program, goals of the Taylor McKeen Shelton Foundation include supporting families who are living through similar tragedies and helping to provide healthy, physical activities for children. Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) is… the sudden and unexpected death of a child over the age of twelve months, which remains unexplained after a thorough case investigation is conducted.

The names of those being honored or remembered will be publicly acknowledged through:

  • Special thank you advertisements in our local newspapers and social media
  • Names will be listed on the White River Health System website
  • Names will be displayed in the lobby at White River Medical Center

Acknowledgement cards will be mailed notifying the families of gifts made in honor or memory of a loved one. Contact the Foundation Office at 870-262-1787 if you have questions or need assistance in making a donation online.
