White River Medical Center and Citizen's Bank invite women of all ages to attend the 18th Annual Ladies Night Out on Tuesday, October 11th, from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Independence Hall on the campus of University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
"We encourage women to come to this fun and informative event to receive important health information and free screenings," said Sheila Mace, Public Relations Coordinator at WRMC.
The theme for this year's event is Make Health a Habit. Many booths will have information about health habits women should practice routinely, such as scheduling annual recommended checkups.
Ladies Night Out will provide free screenings and health information for all who attend. Free screenings include cholesterol and glucose, bone density heel, body fat percentage, blood pressure, posture and balance, glaucoma testing, and oral cancer screenings. Many booths will provide health information on a variety of women's health topics, including diabetes, breast cancer, healthy weight management, skin care, financial assistance, and health risk assessment. Healthcare professionals and physicians will be available at many booths to provide information about available services.
This year's event will feature the soothing jazz sounds of The Observatory Jazz Quartet, featuring Dr. E.J. Jones.
"Citizens Bank is happy to partner with White River Medical Center and UACCB to bring the residents of this area an opportunity to make a positive impact on their personal health and the health of their families," said Linda Creighton, Sr. Vice President of Marketing for Citizens Bank. Please join us Tuesday, October 11th. You will not want to miss this event!
