WHITE RIVER HEALTH SYSTEM LIFE LIGHTS
Life Lights, established in 1995, is an annual holiday fundraising campaign to benefit patient care at White River Health System facilities. This year, we invited area children in grades K-3 to participate in a Holiday Greeting Card Art Contest. We received 1,006 entries, of which one winner from each grade was selected. The winning entries were developed into Greeting Cards and will be sold as part of this fundraiser. Proceeds from this year's Life Lights campaign will benefit WRHS Nursing Scholarships. In 2006, donations to the Life Lights program enabled the White River Health System Foundation to award five scholarships totaling $12,035.00. These scholarships are designed so that Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN's) may further their education, studying at an accredited institution to become Registered Nurses (RN's). In addition, the walking track at White River Medical Center is beautifully decorated with ornaments and lights each year. Wreaths and swags are added to the iron fence located directly in front of the Josephine Raye Rogers Center for Women and Imaging.
