The Stone County Medical Center Nursing Employee of the Month is Kim Lowrance, RN. Kim has been with SMC for three years and is currently working in the acute care area caring for patients. She provides nursing care to patients including personal care, medications and communicating changes in the patient’s condition to the attending physician. Kim also works in the Emergency Room as needed.
Kim feels that knowing the physicians is an advantage of working at SCMC and she appreciates the teamwork among her co-workers.
Kim was chosen by her co-workers in Administration and Dietary for the compassion she shows toward her patients and her willingness to ensure her patients have everything they need.
Kim is a life-long resident of Stone County. She was born at the Mountain View General Hospital, which became Stone County Medical Center. Kim and her husband Jay live in Fox and are the parents of three children. She has one granddaughter who she enjoys spending time with. Kim enjoys going to chuck wagon races, riding horses and attending rodeos.
