Senior Haven
The issues of loss and aging affect each person in a deeply personal way. Approximately half of all patients admitted to a senior adult psychiatric program are diagnosed with symptoms of depression.
Twenty percent of people ages 55 and over have a mental health need which warrants medical interventions. White River Medical Center’s Geriatric Psychiatry Inpatient Unit is designed to treat senior adults experiencing mental changes resulting from loss, depression, emotional trauma, confusion, medication misuse, or health related conditions.
Mental illness, like physical illness, can be detected and treated.
Senior Haven provides a treatment program dedicated to preserving the quality of life that each person deserves. Care is individualized to meet each patient’s needs and our patient’s right to confidentiality and privacy is carefully protected.
