David Wheat, Surgery Sterile Processing Supervisor is White River Medical Center's May Employee of the Month for best demonstrate the standard of Leadership. David supervises the cleaning and sterilization of all reusable medical devices and surgical instruments. He works with employees and physicians to improve patient outcomes, ensure quality processes and identify the instrument needs in the operation room.
David has worked at WRMC for five years. David enjoys coming to work because he sees everyone as a team of medical professionals and as family. He is committed to professional education and serves on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Healthcare Central Sterile Professionals representing the north region of the state.
David and his wife Jeanette are parents to a three year old boy. David is an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, gardening, hiking and swimming.
