WRMC Medical Complex Cherokee Village Advisory Board

Johnny Carter, WRMC Medical Complex Cherokee Village Advisory Board(Cherokee Village, AR)-- Johnny Carter was recently elected to serve on the WRMC Medical Complex Cherokee Village Advisory Board. Carter grew up in the Spring River area.  He was a member of the last graduating class of Hardy High School before its consolidation with Ash flat to form the Highland School district. His years of service began as a Boy Scout, where he learned that people in all walks of life need assistance. He continues to be active in the community, and recently received the coveted 2017 E. Wilson Green Community Service Award from Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce. 

Carter’s biggest contribution to his community is his 46 year career with the Highland School (HHS) District.  After earning a Master’s degree in English, he joined the district as an English teacher and taught for 36 years.  He served 10 years as HHS principal. Carter served on several committees throughout his career, including organizing HHS Blood Drives for the American Red Cross which he continues to support by regularly donating blood. 

“I'm very happy to serve as a member of the Advisory Board at the WRMC Medial Complex Cherokee Village,” said Carter.  "I hope that, with my experience and background, I can be a resourceful addition to the great group of people who currently serve on the Advisory Board.”
