White River Medical Center (WRMC) in Batesville recently received the March of Dimes/Arkansas Hospital Association's Quality Improvement Banner for their success in reducing early elective deliveries. Research shows that babies born at 39 weeks have fewer health problems than babies born earlier. The March of Dimes recommends that all healthy pregnancies wait for labor to begin on its own for the best outcomes for mom and baby.
