Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Now Seeing Patients

Gena Powers, APRN, The Children's Clinic(Batesville, Ark.)— Gena Powers, APRN, MSN, is now accepting patients at The Children’s Clinic. She will be practicing alongside Dr. Melody Moody, and Dr. Gwen White. The Children’s Clinic is located at 1700 Harrison Street, Suite N.

Gena is certified as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She has 20 years of experience as a Pediatric nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.

As a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Gena is dedicated to improving children's health by providing well-child examinations; routine developmental screenings; diagnosis and treatment of common childhood illnesses; guidance regarding common child health concerns; childhood immunizations; and school physicals. She sees children of all ages.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

Gena and her husband, Allen, have been married for 20 years. They recently relocated to Batesville. They have two daughters: Tori, 20, who is pursuing a nursing degree at UCA and Graycyn, 13, a 9th grader at Batesville Junior High. They also have two sons: Heath, 12, a 7th grader at Batesville Junior High, and Mitchell and his wife Lara, both teachers in Clarksville, AR, and parents to granddaughter, Madeline Kate.

“I am excited for this opportunity to practice in Batesville,” said Gena. “My passion has always been caring for children and young adults, and I look forward to being a provider in the area.”
