irector of the Revenue Cycle, Smith is responsible for overseeing all revenue cycle operations. Smith will be responsible for processes that ensure the accuracy of patient registration, timely and accurate filing on insurance claims on behalf of patients, as well as follow-up with insurance companies and patients for payment of medical services. Smith’s team will include staff specifically assigned to work with patients who may experience financial hardships. Smith has a degree in Healthcare Management from the University of Mississippi. He has 33 years of experience in healthcare financial services and is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. “Wayne has an impressive background in healthcare financial management, and we are confident he will serve our organization and customers well in his role,” said Bebow. “I am excited to be at WRHS,” said Smith. “I look forward to working with the staff to create an environment that will ensure a positive experience administratively as well as clinically for our patients. The system includes hospitals, outpatient facilities, primary care and specialty physician office practices.
