Tate Named Director at WRMC

Medical Surgical Nursing Director 

Samantha Tate, BSN, Medical Surgical Nursing DirectorBatesville, Ark.—Samantha Tate, BSN, CMSRN at White River Medical Center (WRMC) has recently been promoted to Medical Surgical Nursing Director, announced Gary Bebow, CEO/ Administrator of White River Health System (WRHS). Tate has been at WRMC for eight years and has taken the initiative to excel in all roles that she has pursued.

As Director, Tate is responsible for managing clinical staff and developing policies and procedures to ensure patients receive quality, safe, efficient healthcare.

Tate earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and is currently involved in the Patient Experience Team at WRMC. She is certified in Medical Surgical Nursing by the Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification Board.  She began her career with WRMC as a nurse in Medical Surgical/Orthopedic Unit (4th floor). Tate progressed as a charge nurse on the 4th floor before transferring to recuperative care and inpatient rehabilitation as the Clinical Nurse Manager.

"Samantha has excelled in her nursing career at WRMC. She is well-experienced in her profession and her compassion and positive attitude make her a perfect fit for this position,” said Bebow. “We look forward to having Samantha as a leader in our organization.”

The Medical/Surgical Unit consists of 78 rooms on the third and fourth floors where patients recover from illnesses such as COPD, influenza, complications from diabetes, and others, as well as, post- operative care. 

“I want to make a difference for WRMC and our staff,” said Tate. “I think my medical surgical experience, as well as management experience, have given me the tools to accomplish this goal.”
