Sherry Spearman, PBT/ASCP in the Outpatient Lab, is the White River Medical Center (WRMC) October Employee of the Month as the representative of Respect. Sherry draws blood for patients for all tests Providers are unable to do in their offices. Other patients include pre-admission surgical patients, patients with medical conditions that require routine laboratory tests and, pre-employment and post-accident drug screens.
Sherry carefully checks to be sure that Provider orders are accurate to ensure the patients’ insurance companies can process and pay for the care patients receive. She enjoys the challenge of her job and says that no two days are alike. During the 18 years Sherry has worked at WRMC, she says that she has never be rejected when asking for help from her co-workers. “WRMC employees are great,” she said.
Sherry and her husband of 44years, Richard, are the parents of two sons. Richard is employed in the WRMC Construction Department as a cabinet maker. Sherry enjoys travel and photography. She also enjoys baking and will be busy during the holidays baking gifts.
The WRMC Employees of the Month are nominated by their peers for best demonstrating a PRIDE standard. The PRIDE standards are Prompt Service, Respect, Involved, Demeanor, and Environmental Focus
