Johnna McDaniel, RN, is the WRMC July Employee of the Month. She was nominated by her co-workers because she communicates well with patients, families, and co-workers.
Johnna is a nurse at the Batesville Oncology Clinic located in the hospital’s ground floor. She is responsible for patient assessment, IV access, drawing labs, administering chemotherapy and iron infusions, patient and family education, and insurance pre-authorization. She is also active in Ribbons of Hope, an organization that assists cancer patients with needs not covered by their insurance.
At Batesville Oncology, Johnna enjoys being part of a team that works together to meet the needs of their patients. She considers her co-workers extended family and strives to make every patient feel like they are also a part of an extended family.
Johnna has been an oncology nurse for eight years and a part of White River Health System for five years. She previously worked on WRMC’s Progressive Care Unit.
Johnna and her husband of 29 years, Roger, have two adult sons and two grandsons. She enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and fishing
