White River Medical Center’s Recuperative Care Unit is a licensed skilled nursing unit by the Arkansas Department of Health and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Patients who need short-term skilled nursing care and/or therapy following a hospital stay may be admitted to Recuperative Care.
Our team includes physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants, speech language pathologists, discharge planner and activities coordinator, and admissions and MDS (minimum data set) coordinators. The goal of recuperative care is to assess the needs of our patients and create a plan to ensure each patient has the ability, equipment, and the support needed to return home safely.
Admission to Recuperative Care requires a qualifying hospital stay during the past 30 days and insurance approval. Patients and families may contact our Admission Coordinator for more information at (870)262-6109.
