Studies have shown that, as a general rule, adults need eight hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. A lack of restful sleep may cause irritability, forgetfulness, and difficulty staying awake at work or school. Not getting enough rest also increases your risk for many illnesses.

A sleep study is a clinical test used by physicians to identify conditions that may be preventing you from receiving a good night’s rest. During your sleep study, a technician will carefully monitor and record sleep patterns. Your study will be evaluated by a physician specializing in Sleep Medicine. A report will be sent to your family doctor outlining recommended treatment.
