Diagnostic Radiology

  • CT (Computed Tomography) is a diagnostic imaging procedure that produces cross section images per rotation when scanning blood vessels, bones, organs, and soft tissues. Images may be taken using contrast, a special dye injected into a vein to highlight areas of the body being examined.
  • CT Angiography (CTA) - Used to diagnose and/or monitor blood vessel disease, aneurysms, blockages, or similar conditions.
  • Low-Dose Lung CT — Detects abnormalities in the chest using less ionizing radiation than a conventional CT scan.
  • Large Bore MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) – Used to evaluating injuries, tumors, and degenerative disorders of the bones, joints, and surrounding soft tissues by employing magnetic energy and radio waves to produce detailed images of internal body structures. High-field, large-bore scanners provide a more comfortable experience for patients of all sizes due to the extra-large bore architecture. MRI does not require ionized radiation.
  • Digital Mammography — Creates an image of the breast using low-dose x-ray.
  • Ultrasound (Sonography) – Uses sound waves to create detailed images of internal organs. Ultrasound does not use ionizing radiation and provides clear images of soft tissues better than x-ray.
  • X-Ray – Creates images of internal structures inside the body to diagnose illness or injury. X-rays use a small amount of ionizing radiation to produce images and is a safe for most patients.

Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Knee Replacement Surgery

Mako robotic-arm assisted technology with the Triathlon Total Knee implant is transforming the way joint replacement surgeries are performed. Mako technology allows surgeons to provide a personalized surgical experience based on each patient's specific diagnosis and unique anatomy.

It is important to understand the meaning of robotic-arm assisted surgery. Before surgery, the orthopaedic surgeon uses the Mako system software to plan the procedure. During surgery, the surgeon guides the robotic-arm to remove diseased bone and cartilage according to the surgical plan. Then the surgeon inserts the Triathlon Total Knee implant.

Sleep Center

Studies have shown that, as a general rule, adults need eight hours of uninterrupted sleep each night. A lack of restful sleep may cause irritability, forgetfulness, and difficulty staying awake at work or school. Not getting enough rest also increases your risk for many illnesses.

A sleep study is a clinical test used by physicians to identify conditions that may be preventing you from receiving a good night’s rest. During your sleep study, a technician will carefully monitor and record sleep patterns. Your study will be evaluated by a physician specializing in Sleep Medicine. A report will be sent to your family doctor outlining recommended treatment.

Common Sleep Disorders

  • Narcolepsy
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Restless Leg Syndrome
  • Circadian Rhythm Disorder
